Holistic health is caring for the whole person. It is tending to your physical, mental, spiritual, and social needs, being aware of how all these aspects affect your overall health.
Acupuncture is an effective form of health care that has evolved into a compete and holistic medical system. It's a noninvasive therapy. Our bodies have meridians where energy flow. They are like freeways in the body. When energy is not flowing smoothly just like traffic jams, our energy circulation is poor, and we might develop symptoms or even diseases. We will insert the fine ad sterile needles at specific acupoints in the body to activate the body energy (we called "Qi"), just like putting a guiding signal in the traffic, to redirect the right energy flow and promotes natural healing.
During each session, our acupuncturist will perform a brief interview to evaluate your current condition. Questions will be asked regarding symptoms, digestion, sleep, lifestyle and etc. Then pulse checking and tongue reading will be performed. After the interview process, you will receive ear magnets and acupuncture treatment and/or herbal treatment. Visits with the acupuncturist may last from 45 to 100 minutes.
According to National Institute of Health (NIH) and the World Health Organization (WHO), acupuncture and/or herbs has been effective in the treatment of the following conditions but not limited to:
Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine is a safe, all-natural, effective and drug-free approach to help regain and maintain health and wellbeing. Where the acupuncture needle has been inserted, you may experience a vague numbness, heaviness, tingling or dull ache. Sometimes people experience a sensation of energy spreading and moving around the needle. This is called the "Qi sensation". All these reactions are good and a sign that the treatment is working. There is very little danger of infection from acupuncture needles because they are sterile, used once, and then discarded.
